I think you did the right thing in forming your own group, but you need to go back and tell her about her nit-picky ways. She needs to know. I've had similar experiences with one of my girlfriends. As a result, we CANNOT go out and eat together. She would eat half of the food on her plate, send the rest back to the kitchen, call for a manager, and if none of the above worked, she always managed to find a 'hair' in it. This got old real quick and I got tired of her company. Now, we simply talk over the phone and that happens every blue-moon.

Well, I don't know your situation, but, I'm allergic to any kind of cheese. And I always inspect the food before I eat it. Nine times out of ten, they have put the cheese on, and scraped it off. My son saw a bull slaughtered and butchered when he was 9 yrs old, and he inspects the meat to make sure it's not even the slightest bit pink.Usually, it's rare. we don't go to restaurants often, but we do complain a lot.
It sounds like you did the right thing.
as a chef, i try to deal with any problems with food, and no i would never spit in food if it came back, but sometimes people can be too funny with food and ignorant and sending food back too many times can be infuriating when there is nothing wrong with the food. if you want to moan about food stay at home or consider those who are starving in this world and realise that in 12 hours time, it will be poo and who cares about it then!

Have her watch the movie "waiting" That may cure her need to always send it back.
Are the reasons various of what is wrong with her food or drink. Maybe you should let her choose the place to eat. If that doesn't work tell her the reason you choose not to break bread with her in the future.
