i saw something on CNN the other night. they demonstrated. you add mentos on a string to the soda bottle, and bam! it shoots up!! lots of fizz, so dont do it inside if you try it!

To be specific, it has to be Diet Coke (or Diet Pepsi) and Mentos. It makes a geyser. If done right, it can go really high.
