Answers:
Come to Detroit and visit a Coney Island! Tell me if it's bland!

Stop eating at Denny's!

Other Answers:
I don't know but I am tired of bland food. Everything is bland. The chicken is bland and the hot sauce is bland. The least bland food I've had in a month was Creole eggs from Denny's, because that had Southern inspiration.

Just for the record, I live in Metro Detroit and Coney Island food is bland.

From Michigan.
Typically, people in warmer climates each spicier foods, and people in cooler climates eat blander foods. Inuit eat blubber & maggots, both very bland.
Hot and spicy foods are seen world-wide in locales that are very hot. The hottest foods are seen more often in places close to the equator. Hot food makes you sweat, which in turn cools you off in your hot climate. So this may explain why Louisiana has hot food... cuz it's darn hot here! And Yankees don't want to cool off, cuz they're in the snow 7 months a year, and they have enough cool year-round.
I live in an area of the Midwest that was mostly settled by immigrants from northern Europe (not known for 'exciting' cuisine). Around here, an extensive spice rack consists of salt, pepper, and paprika (only to be used>greens.cornbread..bacon-... I'm big on Cajun myself.
Restaurants serve bland food so everybody will eat it. I dont serve bland food at home- Im a northern girl and I love hotspicey chinese, hothot curry, and so on, you should try my spicy tacos yehaaa.
