I WILL TELL YOU HOW TO RESOLVE THAT PROBLEM . BEfore you pop the next bag, kneed the bag as if it was a piece of pizza dough . By this I mean. squeeze the bag from one end to the other end. This will move the oil around to each kernal . Do this a cpuple of times, even bendung the bag in the process.IT WON'T RIP. Remember,,,,the oil although thick, kind of settles to one end of the bag while sitting on a store shelf .

That's the nature of popcorn dear - a good metaphor for humanity most of the kernals are popped fairly normally, some bigger, some smaller, some with more butter, some with less, some get burnt and some never pop (or mature) at all! Popcorn kernels rely on a great buildup of pressure inside the shell in order to pop. If there's not enough pressure (the inside isn't moist enough, the shell ruptures too early, there's not enough heat), then the kernel will not pop - if you went a little longer you could pop most of them, and a lot longer would probably pop almost all of them. But anything longer than the recommended time will probably burn the popped kernels. The bottom line is that some of the kernels just aren't fit to pop.

Inside the kernals of popcorn is a small amount of moisture. When heat is applied the liquid expands and forces the kernal to burst. Some kernals don't pop because they have dried out and there is no moisture expansion possible. Happy Popping!
