Remember if you are having trouble coming up w/ food a certain color.. Food coloring also helps!

You can make "blue" icing on a rainbow confetti cake..

or anyother color that you need to fill the table.

I think a cake w/ purple icing wil be nice.. Petit fours..w/ the icing dyed purple.

A pretty pink dish would be where you take Cherry Pie Filling, add coolwhip, and pineapples to it,, along w/ pecans and cream cheese if u wish, it make a huge bowl, and it is simple and quick.. Let me know if you are interested in this recipe and i'll get it for you.

You punches are easy of course,, but if u need green or orange,, you can always add:
Ginger ale, 7-up and which ever color sherbert you need:
you know it comes in Lime, orange, the pink one, and rainbow.

sorry about spelling.. short of time
As far as foods, for a tea you are going to want small foods - finger sandwiches, fresh fruit and veggies w/ dips, cheese and crackers, nuts and mints, punch and tea. The foods will fill in the colors, of course. For punch, a couple of citrus or tropical juices mixed w/ ginger ale make a great punch. Teas come in so many varities (herbal and regular) you can cover all of you colors there, too! Teas such as blueberry, raspberry zinger, lemon zinger, orange spice, ginger twist, green tea (this comes in plain and great fruit flavors)...just check out the tea isle at Wal-Mart or Kroger and you will be amazed - or www.stashtea.com.

Remember these basic requirements for food - something sweet, something salty, something crunchy, something soft and something to wash it all down with!

Visit your local party supply house (we have Party City down here) or check out www.orientaltrading.com. They have all the basic party supplies in any color you could want. Be sure to sign up for e-mails from oriental trading because they will send you codes for free shipping on $60 or higher orders. Oriental Trading also has a great line of faith based merchandise.

As far as tables, purchase a plastic table cloth for each color, run streamer strips down the center using a different shade of the same color, center flower arrangements on each table - talk to a local florist about air brushing white carnations in the needed colors. You can either group like colors for each table, or mix the colors to get the rainbow effect. These always look great. Use shallow bowls for the flowers so that the conversations are not obsturcted. Or, if allowed in your church, use floating candles in different colors, or this: using shallow glass dish, stand 3 votive/pillar candles of different heights, surround w/ floral pebbles and fill bowl with water.

Use colored plates, napkins and forks/spoons in all the colors. Be sure to have cups for hot and cold drinks. These come in all colors, too.

Good luck with your tea! I am sure it will be a success!
If you're having tea, I would suggest making cupcakes. Use vanilla frosting and dye it the different colors you have. Then, you can set a nice plate on each table with a cupcake of each color.

You can also dye flaked coconut. Just add a few drops to the coconut and mix in a zip lock baggie.
