Answers:
Classic Hummous
Ingredients
?One (19 oz.) can cooked chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed OR 2 cups cooked chickpeas
?1 tbsp. tahini (sesame seed paste)
?1 tbsp. lemon juice, about half a lemon
?1 large clove garlic, roughly chopped
?1-2 tbsp. water, to thin, if necessary
Instructions:
1.You can use either a hand blender or food processor to make this hummous. If using a hand blender, you'll need at least a two cup capacity cup. Either way, add about half the chickpeas and start to blend.
2.Gradually add in the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, but not the water.
3.Keep blending until the volume reduces slightly and the texture becomes more smooth, then add the rest of the chickpeas.
4.Blend until desired consistency is reached - chunkier is good for sandwiches, while a thinny dip may be desired for pita chips.
5.Add 1-2 tbsp. water if necessary while blending.
6.Stir in any additions, garnish, and serve!
what about a gardenburger? i like the original, but they have a lot of new flavors these days (portobello, southsest, etc.).
Beef or lamb
spread an egg on the bread, place it in a pan and after it cooks a bit, remove it and add peices of chicken..and decided toppings
humus, which is ground up chikpease mixed with evoo, tehini and spices
I love falafel, but I can't get it around my way!!!
Grated cheese with chopped beetroot, tomato, spring onion, cucumber and lettuce with yogurt and mint sauce is yummy in pitta bread!!
Egg mayo is also nice with salad. My favourite is sun-dried tomato houmous used as a dip with pitta bread and celery!
Enjoy!

falafal uses garbanzo bean flower. Try substituting some of the flour with lighter flour such as quinoa, tapioca, or potato flour to adjust the bitterness, then just prepare them as usual. The premixed ones are loaded with unnecessary and artificial ingredients. Homemade is much better.
Sometimes I buy Tahini that's a bit bitter. Maybe it's not the Garbanzos but the Tahini that you're tasting.
Souvlaki in pitas is good if you eat meat.
16oz T-bone steak and chips is nice.
