My friend is not messing with me and i was wondering if the holes are suppose to go up and down or left to right. She is a freak about these things and she doesn't have yahoo so she needs me to ask10 hours ago

Answers: I think the best way to look at the holes in a ritz cracker is this: The Nabisco people are ripping you off! there should be cracker where those holes are!
Oh, it may not seem like much but it all adds up and over a lifetime you could be down 2 possibly 3 full crackers just because they put holes in those darn ritz!! I think you should call them and demand 3 free crackers.
Or perhaps the holes are there so the crackers stay flat when baking........hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
So maybe you should look at them as your friends; otherwise you would have little cracker balls instead of nice flat crackers.
Of course you could always look at them with suspicion. Wow there are so many possibility's! After all the world is your oyster in fact that is probably what ritz with out holes would look like...Oyster crackers.
