I'll admit I like the taste of the others, but do some research on Aspartame, which is in some of those. It is just as bad for you as sugar. Splenda doesn't and it does taste good (somewhat) but it is also hella expensive compared to sugar.

I really prefer the real thing, sugar. If I know I really do not need so much sugar, I will go for Splenda.
Sugar. It may be refined to h*** and back, but it's STILL sugar.
sugar is preferable, but splenda is alright too. my mom always mixes splenda and sugar, and u can barely tell the difference.
Natural sugar from sugar cane...not refined and honey or molasses.

I have just purchased Sucanet whichhas a wonderful flavor. It is a Raw Cane Sugar with no additives, just plain cane sugar and dried. I do use Turbinado Sugar also a Raw Cane Sugar. Honey is the next for sweetening.

The Sucanet does impart a different taste however, so I haven't played with it yet in baking. It is used 1 for 1 , or cup for cup to white sugar.
I like Splenda because of its sweet taste. Equal is good to, Sweet N Low I don't like at all. I try to stay away from real sugar as much as I can. I use Splenda to make my tea with. My kids even like it.
