first off, im not doing this for weight, i am doing this for the animals, im already on a diet and i happened to run across a video titled "chew on this" and it was .. disturbing, it was cruel and i couldnt stomach it, so i decided (that night) that i would become vegan. im an overweight girl, 220.5 (but ive already lost a great deal of weight)
so my choice to become vegan isnt based on wanting to lose weight, its because of the animals. i already wanted to be healthy.

I did not lose any ...but I think it depend on several factors .. ... First what was your diet like before you became one ... Second what was your weight before you became one ..... Third the age at which you did you become one (the older you are the more weight you carry throughout your body of undigested and (so to speak) stuck fat .... Forth what do eat now ... For me I was 15 .. ..always liked healthy foods .. my weight prior to becoming one was fine .... and I eat a lot but healthy and am not overweight at all now ..
I was really young, in the 6th grade, so that might be why I only lost 10 lbs, I am still a vegetarian(about 11 years later) and it really depends on how much you eat and of what. They vegetarian food, like the morningstar brand(my favorite) is sooo good for you, so low in calories and pretty high in protein, check that stuff out and you will probably do quite well!
None. i became a vegetarian when i was 8. i didnt for weight.... i just dont like meat or cruelty to animals
I am actually quite skinny.... ppl say that its because im a vegetarian that im skinny.... bt i am natrually skinny
Go you - I'm happy to hear your doing it for the animals!
Fist I gained a little weight, then I lost a whole stone, then when I discovered things like vegan ice cream and vegan muffins - I put a little more on!
I think it totally depends on your current body weight and food intake etc etc. Perhaps go and see a dietician for advice?
become a vegetarian does not mean that you will loss weight..it depends on choice of food.
i have friend who is vegetarian but very fat cos always eat the fried stuff.........
see...............
i didnt lose any
No weight lost! I gained about 8 pounds the first month of becominga vegetarian! I ate fruit, grains, veggies, cereals, a little cheese and milk too. The occasional eggs also! Absolutely no meat when I became a total vegetarian. I wasn't a total vegetarian until I gave up fish too which was the last meat I gave up! Those that do vegetarian life style eating poorly might lose weight but with a proper vegetarian diet you probably won't lose or gain much weight! It's a total myth that everyone loses weight becoming a vegetarian. It might be true of a vegan though!
People often get vegan and vegetarians mixed up!
Well ia m 14, and my BMI before going vegy was 18.2, so i didnt have that mush to lose in the first palce, but i lost about 3-4 pnds. However it then went through xmas, when i gained all that weight and i ahve kept it on since!!!
I didn't lose any at all. I was vegetarian for over a year and then turned vegan...Have been for almost 10 months now... I haven't had meat since I was 14, am now 16.
It depends on your body type I guess, I've always had a healthy weight so that's probably why my body didn't respond? Haha, I don't know..Sorry.
None. It's usually not meat that makes people gain weight, it's refined food.
Actually, I lost some weight, but only a few pounds (about 5 pounds). But that depends on the person, because I have a friend that lost about 15 pounds since she became vegan.
yeah ... it's not a fixed number. It really depends on whether you were overweight to begin with. The more overweight you are, the more you would lose. Obviously the obese would lose the most, so the obese would win all the contests if it was the most pounds. I think it's better to look at the percentage of weight lost. Like if you lost 100 pounds and you weigh 100 pounds now then you lost 50%. If you lost
100 pounds and weigh 200 pounds now then you lost 33.3%
None. But I didn't gain any either.
