salad cream rocks!
and yes it is
i am vegan and i checked this out after the wuster sauce incident
dont ask - it is still too painful.....
how do you cream a salad? lol
Sainsbury's 'Be good to yourself' salad cream is vegan.
yes it is
depends - do you eat mayo? its the same ingredients just with vinegar to get that tang! check the label on a bottle it will tell you on there!
You would have to check the ingredients. But I imagine they use factory eggs to make it - which I don't think would appeal to a vegan.
yes id say so but to be on the safe side check the ingredents on side of the bottle
No, not if it has eggs in it. You will need to refer to the individual labels as some may contain eggs and others may not. If you want a guaranteed vegan salad cream the nearest thing I can think of is Plamil's Egg Free Garlic Mayonnaise. Tesco's sell it. It's not quite salad cream but it's probably a close alternative.
Yes unless you got allergies
I'd have to say no because it has dairy products in it and vegans don't eat dairy. Sorry.
The vast majority of salad creams contain egg and so are unsuitable for vegans. However, some are fine (if you're in the UK "The Animal Free Shopper" is a great guide to vegan food in the shops.)
I know that you mentioned that you dislike mayonnaise, but Mayola mayonnaise tastes just like salad cream! When I bought it, it just didn't taste right as mayonnaise - then my sister (who is not a vegan) reminded me that that's what salad cream tastes like. It's a great substitute!
