Why do we eat Chicken, Cow, and Pig, but not Cat, Dog, or Horse!?
Answers: because thats our culture, if you got to france they all eat horse meat, and in china they eat dog and there are some places that eat catWww@FoodAQ@Com

Wow!.!.!.thats a good one!.

I am kinda leaning towards the Intelligence, Food Chain, or Disease!.

I think that the chicken/cow/pig are not as smart as the latter so we tend to think that we can dispense of those faster and are expendable!.

Food Chain-look at the dog and cats relatives, they hunt the chicken/cow/pig!.

Disease-dogs/cats are more prone to disease

We use the horse for riding, travel, "Horsepower", sport, companionship

Just my opinion

***Some cultures eat cat/dog/horsesWww@FoodAQ@Com

The cute ones are pets!. Cows are baseball gloves, pigs are footballs, and chickens are!.!.!.well!.!.!.finger licking good!

As far as easy to catch!.!.!. chase a chicken and see if you give the same answer mom_of_1!.

There is nothing, health wise, wrong with eating the cute critters as far as I know!.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that horses can pull heavy loads, be ridden, dogs can be used to hunt, herd animals, pull small loads (dog sleds, dog carts), cats keep vermin populations under control!.

They were tools for survival years ago, and in some places of the world still are!. You don't eat your tools, you use them! I think that mentality and bond between man and these animals has built some sort of inherited relationship that has passed on from generation to generation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Salutations,
Had chow once at a Korean friend of mine's house!. He said "come over for Chow" and I was slow to put two and two together!. the smile on his mother's face as I ate, sent me back for seconds, and the sauce for dipping was incredible!. but I probably would not go looking for it one a menu!. And no, it did NOT taste like chicken!. CheersWww@FoodAQ@Com

cats, dogs, and horses in the Western European & American culture, are considered work animals!. so long as they work, they have "earned" their place!.

the other animals are considered food animals!. I'm not argueing it is right, but that is the historical basis!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cats, dogs, and horses are more known for being domesticated and loyal companions
If you want to eat some fine, but stay away from my dogs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because that's the most easiest thing to find in London!.

Cats & dogs are pets!. And horses work for a living!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because chickens, cows and pigs are easier to catch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is against the law!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
