Why is the HEAD and BUTT of the Bread so undesirable and underappreciated!? Whatever happened to 'save the best for last'!? Or the 'first in line' principle!? Apparently that does not apply to the Bread world!. Its like the head and butt of the Bread don't receive ANY attention until they are the very last consumption options!. And even then they are consumed with such contempt, as if they were not even worth eating!? I try to show a little consideration to these 'step children' of the Bakery world, but its hard!. They seem so uncivilized compared to the rest of the tightly knit white bread!. Whats with that!? Are there any practical uses for those rejects, besides adding some weight to the almost empty bread bag as its tossed into the trash!? They should either make all the even, and just send the head and butt somewhere where they can be appreciated!. Just goes to show you how wasteful we can be without even thinking about it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers: haha i give the heel to my dogs or my husband will eat them i really dont like crust lol im the type that will pay a dollar more for the iron kids bread without crust im weird like that though lol but i love the heel/corner piece of french bread its just sandwich bread that i dont like that crust of!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

LOL!. I'm one of those people who don't eat the the first and the last slice cos it's not as soft as the ones in the middle and the crust on the outside is hard , I usually either throw it out or if deperate then will toast it and eat it, it's actually not all that bad as long as you toast it, it goes crunchy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

probably because the bread you are referring to is that tasteless, styrofoam like pakaged white bread that really isn't worth eating anyway!. A good bread with a nice crust is never underappreciated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I NEVER eat the "head" and the "butt" lol!. Even when that's the only bread left i rather eat something else!. At least in my case they don't go to waste because my mom loves those bread pieces so i just give them to her!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It has extra crust on it!. The crust is like the hardest part of the bread!. When you eat a sandwich you don't necessarily want crunchy bread but rather soft bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My mom eats them!.!.!. even makes a point to have them first before eating the middle portion of the bread!.
Miss my mom!.!.!. :-(
So, there!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I enjoy both head and butt!.

I don't see a prob!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
