You mean gyno exam? Well, my first gyno was an older guy and he told stories about his daughter the whole time.that was a little weird. I sometimes wear socks with cute patterns on them when I have to go to the gyno, it makes me feel better and it breaks the tension because they let you keep your socks on and sometimes my doctor will ask about them--so it gives you something else to think about.
My first exam went pretty well. They had posters and things on the ceiling for you to look at. I went because I was having irregular periods. The doctor didn't take me very seriously, though. If you have a specific problem, be sure that you tell them about it and get treatment for it.
Be sure you tell them it's your first exam and they should explain everything they're doing. If they don't, you should ask them. You should also tell them if you're a virgin--they can use smaller instruments that would be more comfortable for you. Getting a pelvic exam shouldn't hurt, although it isn't really pleasant. You should tell them if it hurts. Most likely they will ask you a lot of personal questions about your cycle and your sexual activity. Be sure to answer them honestly--doctors have seen and heard everything no matter how embarrassing it is.
Oh, and they will ask you to lie down on the exam table and then slide to the end of the table. Be careful not to slide too far. One of my friends slid off the end of the table at her first exam!
