also, i am currently on prednisone and several other meds for these diseases and morphine and duladid for the pain. Is this normal for these diseases?
Answers:
No it is not true. Both diseases will go into remission with proper treatment.
While it is true that the high use of steroids over a long period of time can cause heart damage, most people go off or reduce them when they are not in a flare.
Opiad meds used to treat the pain is normal and very much warranted.

if it were in the hands of doctors, humans would never die

Perhaps.
Medicine is not an exact science and recoveries happen all the time. Cures are found, new treatments, better drugs, etc.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst. God be with you.
crohns, I know about. My husband had it. Crohns is controlled or use to be by predisone and azulifine. He would have flair ups and then nothing. AT one point, his intestine punctured and they did surgery removeing some of the intestine. He never had another flair up the rest of his life. The doctor actually was amazed and told him that he thought it was in complete regression that they evidently had cut out the disease along with that piece of intesting. He was acutally fine after that and did stay on his meds.
As for Lupus, that's another story and I don't know much about it.
Good luck.be positive and just remember, chances are the crohns won't kill you, and as for the lupus, if they don't have anything as yet to control it, there is always tomorrow..keep your chin up, high and positive and don't think of the worse, only the best...
No, that is not true. Some people live very long lives after being diagnosed. You didn't list the name of all the meds, so I can't say if that is normal for the disease. Prednisone, yes. Duladid, yes. Morphine is a little strong, but it has been given in severe cases. Methotrexate is also a common drug given. With a good diet, and good sleep habits, you can live a longer, healthier life. Good luck to you and God Bless.
both lupus & crohns diseases are classified among the autoimmune disorders & the autoimmune disorders generally submitted to unpredictable prognosisi.e they could present acutely or in rattacks & remissions or even complete remission.so hope is there & especially there are alot of remedies to manage these diseases
