Answers:
There's a good chance that it's already finished, but it depends - is it stuffed or not? How "medium" is it? 5 pounds? 6 pounds? If you have a meat thermometer, that's your best bet - place it in the back of the thigh and it needs to be 180 degrees Farenheit. If you don't have a meat thermometer, you may just have to cut into the chicken and see....make sure there is no red or red juice (a very pale pink is OK if you used some kind of marinade) around the thigh bone. You don't want to overcook your chicken, but making sure it is thoroughly cooked is very important so all bacteria is destroyed.

Other Answers:
If it is defrozen, bake it for 1 hour. Test it with a knife, make sure the juice from it is clear. Not sure about another method of cooking...

personal experience

about 20 minutes, pierce thigh joint to check for blood. No blood? ready to eat Until it is done.

about 2 hours COVERED uncovered the outside will brown and the inside will not cook properly
then uncover the last 30 minutes

425 is too high - try 350 for 20 mins a pound. uncovered, 45 mins covered 30mins, do check to make sure blood runs clear by poking thigh with fork
