I started this med today, in conjunction with prozac that I have been on for a year. It takes 4 weeks to get to the regular dose so I want to know what to expect.

I used Topamax for a couple of months and it totally worked. The reason I used it is b/c I passes out from a migraine so my doctor slowly took me up to the full dose then kept me at the full dose for a cpl of weeks and then slowly weaned me off it again. while taking it i experienced about 1 mild migrain - compared to about 4 a week before hand and since i stopped taking it i havn't had many (if any) serious migraines at all. i stopped taking it about a year ago.
as for side effects - i didn't really experience any. my doctor told me that i might lose a lot of weight while on the meds, but i didnt. However, i did lose a lot of weight once i stopped taking it. now whether that had anything to do w/ the meds - i have no idea!

My doctor prescribed Topamax for Bi-polar disorder. I have pains in my legs like they were asleep andthrobing in my eye. He had to take me off of it. On the plus side, I did loose about 15 lbs in 3 weeks.
