There is a native American coming of age ritual(that is still practiced) that involves a four day celebration, involving: dancing, meditation, separation, and a rejoining, lots of food, little sleep and other things that are meant to celebrate womanhood and give them a small sample of the trials of women.
This practices is probably a little extreme for most of us, but the ideas are solid. Maybe for your program you could cook something together, play group games, watch a girl movie, and talk about there concerns about growing up.

WEll,at my girls club when somethin' like that happenings we all go to the main ladies' house and party all night or have a lock-in!My Aunt, when she did they went to the mall and turned there clothes inside out,were piggytails,and use bottles.When somebody would yell "AIR ATTACK" they(we)had to dive down and cover our heads!It was fun,even funner when there was somebody we knew!
