Butter You don't need cooking oil to cook burgers!

burgers have their own grease! Add some water so they don't stick to the bottom of the pan!No, I don't think so. Why do you need cooking oil to cook burgers? no put water on it
Spray your pan with some Pam, otherwise, some clarified butter will work.
who ever told you u need to use coooking oil is a retardYou dont need oil for Burgers, they burn out the fat when you cook them and that makes them oily somewhat. Depend on the fat percentage... :) Butter or shortning or lard or bacon grease. Burgers give off enough juice you don't need to add grease to them. Pam is another idea.
I've never cooked burgers in oil; they provide enough of their own fat anyway. I just slap 'em on the pan.
You can actually cook the burgers in the oven ! No oil needed and if you want to cook them on top of the stove, if you have spray cooking oil for the pan that will work or use a Teflon coated skillet. Don't use butter or oleo as it will burn before the ground meat cooks completely.Olive oil: Margarine: Butter: You can sprinkle salt in the bottom of the pan, this will prevent sticking until some of the fats from the burger start coming out.
How have you lived this long?
hamburger meat cooks up its on oil u don't need oil for that sometimes you can use butter but for hamburgers that would be grossWhy are you putting more oil on burgers. It's bad enough with the animal fat already in it. Use Olive oil, it's healthier. that would be a FAT BURGER, not a hamburger you are cooking. meat has fat in it, try it with nothing.
u can use butter or if u got ne left over fat from cooking use that! if u got a deep fat fryer rob sum oil from that! otherwise dry fry them! healthy option!
Butter can work, bacon works as well. If you dont have both try baking your burgers in the oven or even broiler.you don't need a oil to cook your burger.. you can drip little water . cook it on medium hot Culinary student here: Depending if you have lean ground beef or not will determine if the fat from the beef will melt or not. Example Government Ground Beef Patties are high in fat.
Pertaining to your question though, the fats from the meat itself, butter, any form of artificial butter, Pam any cooking spray will work.
The goal is not so much to add flavor but to prevent sticking. Last resort you can use water.
