Answers:
I couldn't find a recipe. However, this site belongs to someone who went to culinary school and made sugar boxes. The Gallery has a picture of one. You could contact him.

I think sugar boxes are just made of sugar and egg white. I don't think they are even baked, just allowed to air dry.

I posted a request for sugar box directions at the second link. This is a moderated group, so it might be rejected, but if it makes it in, you will have some instructions in a couple days.

It might be so hard to find a recipe because it is so simple that "everyone" knows how to make them. I think my mother made them once when I was young. She went through a pastry phase. I think they are easy, though.

The lid might be the problem. You may need a mold that will produce the exact shape.

Other Answers:
I could not find a recipe for your sugar box on the web site. The show I found that probably in this was on "Sweet Art."

If I had more information I might be able to help you. Shapes can be made out of pulled sugar or pastillage. Either is difficult to work with though and takes a lot of practice. Recipes are available for either on-line I'm sure, or I have some you could try.

**I take that back, I found the wedding episode, but is still doesn't have the recipe you are looking for.

Any recipe for meringue will work, just bake at the lowest temperature your oven allows. Avoid italian meringue recipes which are mostly for frosting etc.
