i am a male that knows how to straighten his hair very well. first, u should know that straightning ur hair every day will cause alot of breakeage and eventually ur hair will start to fry from the ends, become harder, and in some cases ur ends will turn white. it is a good idea to use a deep conditioner in the shower, live it in for five minutes every time u shower. also, when u straighten ur hair, do use sections. about 1 invh wide sections at atime, and plz use hair oil or anything of that sort to moisturize ur locks and stop frizz and flyaways.
I use a flat iron on a daily basis. I also condition on a daily basis as well. I use Nexxus moisturizing shampoo and Nexxus Humectress as a conditioner which should be combed through your hair after applying and allowed to sit for about 3 mins. I also mix a small amount of Humectress and water in a spray bottle and apply to my hair after towel drying as a leave in conditioner. After blow drying my hair, I pull most of it up in a clip leaving one section down (from ear to ear) and lightly mist the hair with Nexus Heat Protexx, which helps protect the hair from the heat of the iron, some of which can heat to 325 degrees. Repeat the process on the next layer of hair and so on and so forth. Depending on the thickness of your hair you may need to divide your hair into more or fewer sections. I normally do 3-4. Its better if u use clips to divide ur hair into 4.
Left, right, n 2 divide for the behind one.
N start iron it from bottom to top.
Remember, don't use any oil when u wanna iron it.
Use it after u finish it.
The one I mentioned above is for daily one.
If u wanna straighten ur hair using the cream, here's the source.
U have to shampoo ur hair n dry it.
After really dry, u may start applying the straighten cream onto ur hair.
From bottom till top remember it.
After that, wait for around 30-45 mins.
Rinse it with warm water.
U may shampoo it too.
After that, iron ur hair.
Then use the neutralizer cream.
It may help to keep ur hair healthy n shiny.
Rinse it with warm water.
Remember, don't use any shampoo.
N dry ur hair again.
After that, do the last step.
That is iron it again.
Note : Wash ur hair after three days.
I used to straighten my hair at home.
I never go to salon for that kind of things.

You should always use some sort of thermal protectant on your hair. A silicone based product or a spray on will help protect your hair. Also section you hair in clips. You can section your entire head into four equal sections, from ear to ear and off of the part, front to back and iron sections that are about one inch by one inch. if that doesn't help, take smaller sections, especially if your hair is thick.
