I am going through a stae of teenage male depression (with my image).being that I am scrawny.I just want more weight, so that I can add muscle.and be more attractive overall.
Answers:
Weight gain can be achieved by adding either fat or muscle. Building up muscle is harder as, in part, you need to convert your body fat into muscle. Working out, protein and aminoacids can help you with that but you need time and discipline.

Junk food will help you add body fat but sometimes skinny people cannot add weight that rapidly because of a fast metabolism so you cannot keep up with your body's natural way of disposing the extra intakes.

I would say to go and have a healthy purpose for your goals and accepting you for who you are.

Gaining weight quickly is not recommended. For a start you'll probably end up with stretch marks.

Just work out and keep a healthy diet.

I would try upping protein in your diet and exercising. Weight lifting would help build muscle. Be sure to get ALL the food groups and eat healthily, but I *think* eating more protein should help.

eat more food the more you eat the more mass you will put on try to eat 4 meals a day

Don't forget the 20 - 40 minutes of moderate-hard physical activity, like running or doing weights, shooting baskets, etc.

Eat a lot of high protein foods ,lift weights, ride a bicycle and eat a lot of bananas.

I dont recommend taking any pills or medications but your best bet is to eat lots of protein and meats and carbohydrates, with lots of exercise. The first thing is to realize that if you gain weight very quickly, a good portion of it will be fat something you don't want.Eat Eat Eat, not junk food but healthy stuff in large quantities and work out often, eventuallt it will turn to muscle and surprisingly fast.
