i used to work at Macdonald's and while i was working there they used to get mad if i brought a Pepsi product to work. be it mountain dew or a Pepsi itself. they used to say that since they had a contract with coke that i couldn't bring it to work with me. but the funny thing is that have dr.pepper that is owned by Pepsi. so how could they tell me not to bring it to work when they sell a Pepsi product right there lol
Answer:
thats retarded.
What kind of "theory"? Does that mean if you work in motorola, u can't own nokia handphone? And if you want in apple, you can't use creative stuff?
i dont know bout that but i do know that if you work for the actual company that is a big no-no like you cant purchase the drink or shirts, caps and so forth that has to suck especially if you do not like pepsi
yes, that is funny. there is nothing wrong with doing that.
actually Dr Pepper is not owned by Pepsi, Dr. Pepper & 7up are the same company
lol yea
well actually dr. pepper is partially bottled by Coca Cola.
you got the parent company of Dr pepper wrong dude... so in this case yes mac is right to request u not to bring in pepsi brand.
i used to endorse a certain type of bottled mineral water~ wasn't allowed to 'drink other brands' according to the contract. . . Unfortunately, contracts don't control my physiological needs ~_~ i would drink something different, then just cover the brand (slash it off, or take it off) or just transfer the drink to a brandless container ^_^
Your boss is trying to do his job to abide by his contract. The image of a company like McDonald's is what makes the company so successful. In the business world, this is called "branding." It's very important. I know how you feel: My husband will only drink Diet Pepsi: nothing else will do. but you have to go with the flow when you're an employee, even if the rules are unfair. I'll bet if you put your drink in a portable plastic coffee container, with or without a lid, you would be fine: My son takes Snapple with him all over the place in these extra large plastic containers, with ice, so: it's cool, dude ;)
