i do because it's a bit hot. but i've heard it's a sign that a beverage is good...or it's some kind of etiquette thing.
Answer:
slurping coffee is much like wine. Coffee exhibits many of the same characteristics of wine. When you inhale air with your coffee, your tastebuds are able to pick up the aromas and intricate notes of the coffee. Now, you shouldn't do it LOUD, you don't need a TON of air, but just a little. You will learn to appreciate the different roasts more. If you're drinking folgers and that kind of junk, don't bother. This is less effective with tea as there aren't as many oils and vaporous variants...
no. its sorta rude if you're around people. but i guess its ok if its hot and you cant take a full on sip..
I slurp my coffee.
Only when it's very hot!
If im alone, yes, it makes it taste better! But if you do it in front of people, I think its rude.
no.
sorry, i don't, even if it's hot :)
in the Japanese culture, slurping your drink/soup means you like it. the louder the slurp, the better. in most other cultures, that would be considered rude.
I chug mine
No. Wait for it to cool down a bit. Slurping, just like eating with your mouth open, shows bad table manners.
