Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Does anyone know if u can turn in soda flip tops for money?),it will help you,my kids.
i heard that you can turn in those little tabs that u pull off the top of soda cans, the little tabs that open it up with, and receive money for them. can anyone confirm this rumor. please answer
Answer:
I'm sure if you recycle alot of them you'll get little something. My sister makes super cute belts with them and sells them for $6 in craft shows. Basically, she uses three pieces of thin ribbon or lace. She weaves the ribbon though the holes, flipping the tabs each time.
Experiment with them! It's alot of fun!
You can only turn them in to aluminum recycling centers, same as the cans. All those stories about diaysus centers or needy kids getting a nickel a piece for them are bogus urban legends.
Yes that is true... You would have to take them to a scrap yard to recycle them. The only problem is you will need alot of them to make any money, they don't weigh much. Where I live a pound of aluminum(thats the metal of a soda can) is about $.45
Actually you can collect pop tops for charities like the Ronald McDonald House.
