Pure caffiene powder is white, so doesn't make any difference to the colour of coffee. De caf coffee has a similar colour to full caffeine coffee and so this would tend to suggest that all caffeine acts as, is a stimulant substance. The coffee bean gives coffee it's brown colour.
OK here go's. the colour of coffee is not determend by how much caffeine is in it but rather by how long they cook the coffee bean, in the roasting process. hence, light, med, and dark roast coffee. hope this helps you. jamesc.
