I heard that if you take milk in your tea you loose the health benifits of the antioxidants in tea.

Answer:
Some studies say yes, others no:

"A study at the Charité Hospital at the University of Berlin in Mitte showed that adding milk to tea will block the normal, healthful effects that tea has in protecting against cardiovascular disease. It was claimed to do this because casein from the milk binds to the molecules in tea that cause the arteries to relax, especially a catechin molecule called EGCG. One of the researchers told New Scientist magazine that "It probably also blocks tea's effect on other things, such as cancer." Other studies have found little to no effect from milk on the observed increase in total plasma antioxidant activity. Teas with high EGCG content, such as green tea, are not typically consumed with milk. Previous studies have observed a beneficial effect from black tea which was not attributable to the catechin content."
Yeah. I read it in the Evening Standard and saw it on the News so I'd go with what they say.
Yes that is true to my knowledge. I read about it somewhere,or saw it on T.V. They were talking about how English people put a splash of milk in their tea,A lot of people do. Anyway that's what they are saying.
Thats right it does.
Research Studies conducted so far indicate that consumption of tea results in increased antioxidant activity in the body, and that the addition of milk to tea does not affect these increases. Hence one can add milk to tea according to their preference and be sure to gain all the antioxidants present. In a study done in UK it has been seen that a standard addition of 10-15% milk did not influence plasma antioxidant activity (R. Leenen, AJC Roodenburg, JBM Tijburg and SA Wiseman - A single dose of tea with or without milk increases plasma antioxidant activity in humans, European Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2000).Brewed tea appears to have more antioxidant action than almost any whole fruit or vegetable-and more than most commercial fruit or vegetable juices, too. Other research shows that adding milk, sugar, or lemon to tea does not destroy antioxidants or block their absorption by the body.
Drinking tea without milk.Is not English.
I DONT KNOW ABOUT ALL THAT BUT IT MIGHT BE TRUE
Apparently tea has more benefits taken without milk ..
no it wont, but of course adding milk might not help if you are loosing weight.
