I like to add fresh fruit to mine. Make lemonade using your normal recipe (or you can use store bought, if you do, I recommend Simply Lemonade) and then cut up fresh fruit (I find that strawberries, blueberries, mulberries or raspberries work best) and put them in your glass of lemonade, then use a spoon to stir/mash the fruit and release the juices. When you finish your cup, you are left with a nice fruity lemony treat to eat with your spoon.
make lemonade as usual. In the juice isle of your grocery store, you can get to add, cranberry, pomegranet, mango juices. Just add 1 oz or so of one flavor and poof gormet lemonade.
I like to add a touch of vanilla extract to a pitcher of lemonade.
Rosemary Peach Lemonade:
Rosemary Syrup:
6 small sprigs fresh rosemary, plus more for garnish
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups good-quality peach nectar
3 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced into thin half-moons (about 18 slices each)
1 ice cube tray frozen lemon juice (12 cubes equals 1 cup of juice)
1 to 1 1/2 cups water
Rosemary Syrup:
In a medium saucepan, combine the rosemary sprigs, sugar, and water, and bring to a simmer. Let cook for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened and well-infused.
Remove from heat and strain. Discard rosemary sprigs. Let cool before using.
In a large pitcher, combine cooled syrup, peach nectar, peach slices, and lemon juice ice cubes. Add enough water (about 1 to 1 1/2 cups) to top off, leaving room for additional ice cubes to serve.
Add more ice right before serving. Serve a fresh rosemary sprig in each glass.
Raspberry Lemonade
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
3 1/2 cups water
1 container (10 ounces) frozen raspberries in syrup, thawed
3/4 cup water
1. Mix sugar and 1/2 cup water in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring once, until sugar is dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
2. Mix cooled sugar syrup, the lemon juice and 3 1/2 cups water in 2-quart nonmetal pitcher. Place raspberries in strainer over small bowl to drain (do not press berries through strainer). Reserve berries for making ice cubes. Stir raspberry liquid into lemon mixture; refrigerate.
3. Spoon raspberries evenly into 12 sections of ice-cube tray. Divide 3/4 cup water evenly among sections with raspberries. Freeze about 2 hours or until firm. Serve lemonade over ice cubes.
Pineapple Lemonade:
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups pineapple juice
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 liter ginger ale
Stir together sugar and the juices until the sugar is dissolved.
Put in the pop bottle.
(I use a funnel).
Slowly pour in the ginger-ale.
Screw on the cover and LIGHTLY shake bottle to blend everything.
Keep refrigerated, or serve on ice.
lime and sugar is good enough and a little flavour
