They did this on Mythbusters and yes it works. Your mouth won't explode, but if you have the mento in your mouth in drink the coke, it will erupt out of your mouth.
I don't think so. How about trying this one though, eating, chewing with your mouth open, having Wintergreen lifesavers but in the absoulute dark, you will see sparks. Also coffee mate powder, add a match to it and watch it flare up, all the preservatives.
Yes, this is due to the carbonation reacting with the "Mintyness" in the Mentos. If you drink coke and eat Mentos, your mouth with erupt. It will not explode, just erupt, making you spew liquid and a hard mint in the direction you are facing.

As said by Cheffy and Jack Linket, it will work. I have never tried it, but I have read it will work, and only if the coke is drank just after opening the can. If too much gas has left the coke, it will not work.
