Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Is Red Bull bad for you?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Is Red Bull bad for you?),it will help you,my kids.
The common opinion is that Red Bull is bad for you, but is this true? Is it the caffeine? Is it the taurine? What is taurine? If it is bad for you, why is it even available?
Answers:
Inconclusive, but sounds as if its something that should be consumed in moderation (unless you are in France or Denmark, where its banned). Red Bull contains, per 250 ml serving, about 27 grams of sugar, 1000 mg of taurine, 600 mg of glucuronolactone, and 80 mg of caffeine (the average cup of coffee contains 100 mg or as much as three cans of Coke).
Red Bull is sold in 100 countries worldwide, but only France and Denmark have banned the drink. Britain's Committee on Toxicity investigated Red Bull in 2001 and found that it was safe, but warned pregnant women against it because high caffeine intake has been linked to a risk of miscarriage.
A study by the French Scientific Committee on Human Nutrition found that Red Bull contained excessive caffeine. The committee also raised concerns about the drink's other ingredients - taurine, an amino acid the company claims can 'kick-start' the metabolism - and glucuronolactone, a carbohydrate. The EC's Scientific Committee on Food said more studies were needed to assess the dangers of taurine and glucuronolactone.
High levels of caffeine can be dangerous for people with high blood pressure or anxiety disorders. Not much is known about taurine and glucuronolactone, but high levels of them could affect the body
Taurine (from taurus = ox, as it was discovered in ox bile) is an acidic chemical substance found in bile - Manufacturers claim that taurine enhances the effects of caffeine, but to date there have been no studies performed to confirm this.
Glucuronolactone is a naturally occurring chemical compound produced by the metabolization of glucose in the human liver. It has received some notoriety due to rumors that it was a Vietnam War-era drug manufactured by the American government. The rumors go on to say that it was banned due to several brain tumor deaths at the time. These rumors are not based on documented facts. Some of its positive benefits have been known to include acting as an antidepressant, stimulant, and helping in memory retention and concentration.

yes it's bad if you ander 16 it's not good for your heatlth
cuz it has eating gas
red bull contains a butt load of cafeine and that's addictive. your body could become reliant on it and you may struggle to find the energy.
Yes
Yes I heard it makes it so that you don't get enough blood flow to your brain!
In other words it makes you dumb!
Yeah, even I have heard about this anyway I dont drink it. I let my body prepare the energy it requires .
yes. you have to consider how much sugar is in that one small can.
yes very much because they affect the same way as drugs of abuse.the energy drinks interefere with the neural transmitters in different ways. (for a scientific answer search for neural transmitters, sinaptic cleft etc.) they supersede natural secrations of the neural cells and sometimes affect natural secrations and when you stop using them the body needs them and because they have been provided by out sources it takes so much time for body to build back its natural balance (production of those natural secrations)
I don't know I never tryed it before
its not going to hurt you in small doses. it contains way too much sugar and caffeine which are bad for you but so is soda. if you drink too much your hands will shake like you are addicted to crack and when you come down from your sugar high you will crash and burn with no energy. but just like coffee its a good perk up beverage every once in a while if you can stand drinking liquid sweet tarts.
Red Bull is suppose to be some kind of energy drink, but what exactly is an energy drink?. Because it is loaded with caffein,it actually keeps you awake, but not giving you energy, because it does not contain proteins,or carbohydrates.
no it good for you it give u engergy. it good for you to wake u up so u can consentrate but in moderationgs.
Not, sure, but I wouldn't put anyhting into my body that claied that it would give me wings...creepy.
If you are drinking something that effects your body in a negitive way it is bad for you. To much caffeine can be bad for you wether you are drinking pop or red bull.
actually, Taurine is good for the brain. If you'd look at the contents on children's formula, you'd see Taurine as one of the vitamins and minerals included. but the content it has on Red Bull makes you go hyper and it's addictive. maybe a bottle is enough to keep you awake and energized to finish what you have to do.
