Answer:
Yeah it seems to, even on stuff that isnt soda too. Just a couple days ago i opened up a bottle of seltzer water that had been sitting there for like a week and it exploded all over the place. Maybe theres more Co2 in drinks cause people like the fizzyness.
I think it's where you live --- I live in Ohio- it is very fizzy here! It kind of burns a little when you take a big gulp. and when I visit family in Florida the pop as we Ohioans call it seems to me like it be opened up and let set out--it taste flat not much fizz to it.
Some of it does! Certain brands I know I need to open very slowly over the sink or it will spray out everywhere. I think they are adding more carbon gases to it. I don't know why.
it could be a combination, if its true like was said already that soda has less carbonation in florida, it could mean the vapor pressure above the solution is just lower there because of being at a lower altitude. you get a full atmosphere of pressure pushing down on the soda at sea level and less higher up. id like to know how fizzy soda is up in the rockies!

maby you moved to a lower altitude. maby the company started to add more carbonation so people at sea level could get the same effect?
