Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(My boyfriend bought me some british and irish tea, but they're expired. but ),it will help you,my kids.
the irish stuff expired in feb. and the british stuff expired in dec. i'm not too worried about drinking it anyway, but should i be?
Answers:
I wouldn't be worried ~ it's only dried leaves. The date is probably a "best before" date, meaning it won't be as fresh. To tell the truth, I never check the dates on my tea and I drink it all the time. I'm sure some of them have been "expired" at one time or another and I'm still here=)
Other Answers:
i donno, but i will never drink or eat anything when the date has expired-
tea does not seem to be a prob, but then --- i will not do it -
I drink a lot of tea and have never seen an expiration date yet. so, i don't think you have anything to worry about. they may just taste a little more bitter with age.
Consider freezing your teas in an airtight container or bag until you can use them. Though it shouldn't hurt to use them even if you choose not to freeze them.
no
Tea will last 6-12 months in proper storage (cool, dry, dark place) but after that (or the expiration date) it will change in flavor and not taste as good.
And never freeze or refrigerate tea because the moisture in both places with damage the flavors and could promote mold
