It said that it reintroduces minerals. into the water to give it that spring water taste... i liked it for drinking water, but it interferes severely with the tea. it tastes almost salty at the back of my tongue...
My question is... can i fit a stage 2 filter in my chrome pur faucet filter. Second... has any one experienced this?

Yes the 2 stage filter (without the minerals) can be the replacement for the 3 stage filter. I don't like the minerals either.
It's a good choice for easy installation and will save you lots of money in the long run.
I don't know if you can fit the other filter or not. But, I have had the same problem with the taste after using that filter. The "minerals" it adds is basically rock salt (water softener salt). I love tea also I drink A LOT of it especially green tea. Have you tried the new Royal Energy Tea by Bee Royal Products. If you haven't you should it is great. The best tea I've tried and it gives me a lot of energy. It is green tea, bee pollen and freeze dried fresh honey. I get it directly from their web-site. Just do a Yahoo search.
