My friend told me but i am skeptical so i am asking it here.

Answers:
coca-cola was really made with cocaine back in the early 1900's. people thought it was fine until they discovered what happened. then they found caffeine and replaced it. actually, in my psych book, it shows an ad for cocaine cough syrup for kids from like 1890. crazy, huh?

Other Answers:
It's true. That's where the "Coca" part of Coca-cola comes from.

truth. and i see that you like harry potter. Yes and it was made like that for more than 3-4 weeks.

it still contains trace amounts of cocaine to this day because coca leaves are used in the production. in the past they used untreated coca leaves causing a higher concentration (still incredibly small), and today they use 'spent' coca leaves, which have been put through a cocaine extraction process so the amount in coke is incredibly tiny.

you'd die of caffeine poisoning before feeling any of the cocaine effects

YES that is true...thatswhy chocolate is so addictive(coca)

coca bean,COCAine,COCA-cola...its all the same

All of the first-gen sodas were laced with drugs. thats what I have always heard. I was also told by my grandparents that the reasoning was so that more people WOULD become addicted. Hard to tell, I don't think anyone REALLY knows whats in everything we eat or drink. But that's an interesting question

yes

there is no Cocaine in chocholate, the active ingreds of cocoa are theobromine and phenyl-ethylamine... not even close to the chemical structure of benzly-methly ecogine (cocaine)

as for the answer your Q?
IT ALREADY HAS BEEN clearly answered !

L8...D ;-)~

field study Cocaine, laudanum (opium) and various other powerful drugs were used in a variety of ways for quite a while. Try researching the Harrison Narcotics act, you'll see quite a few things that might surprise you. Also, a few years ago Merck came out with a little bonus reprint of their early manual which I believe had things like cocaine for hair loss, your local library may have a copy if you want to look at it "for grins and giggles" as my father says.
