Answer:
DO they have the right to take out soda machines? Yes. Should they take them out ? No. It's funny how there's more fat kids by far today than twenty years ago and yet now they try to regulate everything you eat and drink at school and back in the day you could eat and drink what ever you wanted. So why is everybody so fat? I don't think kids even know what exercise is anymore. They sit all day and all night. They need kids in P.E every day of school. that's a start. It's funny how a liberal school systems idea of fixing a fat kid problem is to take the tasty food and drink away from everyone. even the kids without a weight issue. I thought this was America but I guess not.
Yes, sodas are no good for anyone especially young children.
They can do whatever they want, but they should also know that if students want the coke, they'll go to a convinence store next to the campus and get it. They're just going to lose out on the revenues now and it won't drop child obesity rates.
No, I don't think they were right. It just seems like a big, governmental control issue, don't you?
I think so. I love pop(soda), but it is not good for you. It is not healthy. My school kept vending machines, but you could only get juice or water out of them. It makes the kids go for more healthy choices.
yes, that isn't a necessity. Its an added extra that you don't actually need.So long as there is access to water then they are within their rights. Is probably to do with Americas rising obesity rates.
Why would they NOT be? The school can regulate what commercial products are available on property. They chose not to make soda one of these products. Just as they'd chose not to make spraypaint, guns, or samuri swords available.

For that matter, the schools do not sell kitchen tables, window blinds, cars, cleaning supplies, or any number of other things.
Certainly
Within their rights..YES
Will it make a significant difference .... NO
It's not what the child is doing in school that is the major problem with obesity, it's what they are doing out of school that has a bigger effect.
Yes,

They should never have been in the school that sugar can ruin people for real. They are empty cal.s and are a waste of money and food you could have consumed.

Eat healthy or well you'll get sick.
Yes, they have the right to remove the soda machines because frankly, these drinks will do no good to anyone, especially children.
Of course not.
