Caffeine IS a drug, and there sure is a lot of it in there. Add to that the ego boose that some people get from the fashion associated with throwing money away, and you've got a dangerous concoction!

As much as I hate to admit it, Starbucks is addictive because they have a good selection of really kick *** drinks. And despite the outrageous price, a sense of "gourmet", more for your money feel is added. I only really like the fruity drinks (i.e. Passion tea and pomegranate frappucino) myself; coffee should be coffee. But other than that, they have it down.
Because it IS a drug! It is a stimulant to the central nervous system, and one of the only ones that is legal without a prescription.

It has more caffeine than any other coffee on the market. Caffeine is slightly addictive, but it is more of a mental addiction than physical. You tell yourself that you can't function properly until you drink a cup of it. And because it tastes really good.

Everytime I think I want a raspberry green tea frappacino, I remember the 480 calories and 81 grams of carbs is has per grande size. That kills the craving for me.
