... for a short period of time, then afterwards I get really tired and seem "depressed"?
When I drink a monster energy drink, I just get tired.

Answer:
its the caffeine. none of those drinks to anything for me.
That's what EVERY drug does. High... then miserable. (Yeah, energy drinks are drugs.)
it has weed in it
because you are crashing from all that caffeine that you are putting into your body. its normal, just dont drink too many at one time. it could hurt yo health!
Energy Drinks contain a lot of guarana and caffine and sugar which can all wake you up and keep you awake. But once those wear off, you "crash" and suddenly become tired and irritable. It's basically the same thing with coffee, but coffee doesnt have as much caffine in it, so it wont send you crashing down.
That is their design. The caffeine anhydrous that is in the drink gives you the quick burst. The high amount of sugar sustains you for a limited time. When the sugar wears off, you crash. There is another drink that I use that is a powder that you mix with water. There is no sugar and no caffeine anhydrous. It lasts me for hours and I don't crash. It has 5 carbs and 22 calories. If you want to know more about it, let me know.
You can get the same effect from a sugar high, too much and get real energetic for a bit then you crash.
Isn't that what it's supposed to do?
