My friend's mom suggest wetting th ice cubes before adding soda pop to the glass to reduce the soda pop fizz?

Yes thats true,People are so stupid, Take Ice out of the freezer put it in a glass and pour soda on it, watch how it fizzes, Now get another glass fill it with ice, then rinse the ice in water and pour it out, add soda to this ice, and waalaa less fizz, Thats what the question is about

The simple way to stop fizz from accumulating is pouring down the side of the glass.

Bartenders do this with beer to stop the foam as well.
