Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(8 Glasses of water, 5 fruit and veg?),it will help you,my kids.

So we know this is good for us, but do you do it?

I am proud to say I do! i drink water virtually constantly all day!
I have a banana at breakfast, 3 pieces of fruit at work then always at least 2 veg for dinner, plus usually fruit for dessert. I always have done, i was brought up to drink lots and enjoy fruit and veg.

Do you do it, and do you do it because the powers that be say you should or have you always done it?

Answer:
I do it religiously, not because someone says I should, but I recovered from a crippling illness by changing my diet to a plant based diet. I drink a gallon of water a day, it being the only beverage I consume. I add lemon or cucumber slices or mint, for a bit of flavor and variety. In addition to eating 5 fruits and veg a day, I juice carrots, celery, spinach, parsley, swiss chard and apples twice a day. I am vegetarian, so these yummy foods are the basis of my diet. I feel wonderful, and am no longer crippled
I drink my 8 cups of water daily filtered through coffee grounds and eat about 5 servings of veg a week, and maybe 3 of fruits, but I do take vitamins daily.
I go through phases with the fruits and vegies. I like them but prefer them fresh, but when I buy them fresh and get busy with work etc. they go bad. I drink two glasses of water in the morning, and drink water with my meals, but can't drink it all day because I"m a teacher and am not able to go to the ladies room often.
well done

truthfully i try to do it but don't succeed on a daily basis.
My Daughter always drinks only water, I keep bottles in the fridge, I do try to cook healthy meals for all the family , we are always trying new things, in the last week we have tried, butternut squash, soya beans, asparagus, so I am doing my bit .
I have done it when i was expecting my baby's but sometimes i did eat some junk especially chocolate an crisps an i had a craving for bacon fries.
I am proud to join you in this fitness club. I've been doing it for about 2 years. It's how I got in shape. I drink water all day long except at breakfast. I maintain the 5 fruits per day but for vegetables...It's on! I can go nuts on veggies. Plus my doctor said I could eat veggies like theirs no tomorrow.

Whenever someone asks me how I lost weight and shaped up, I tell them it's by eating a balanced diet and drinking water, tha'ts it. No special diet. Oh, and exercise too.

Have a nice day.
Im afraid to say i dont do this....!
I just cant fit it in..its alot to take in just one day! I salute all that do it...and i know ill probably regret not doin it when im older!!
I certainly try. I keep a small fridge in my office to keep water and veggies in so I am not as tempted by the fattening treats. I bring my lunch and always have at least two veggies in dinner - the fruit part I am not always as successful with
Sometimes I have a hard time meeting the vegetable requirements, but I always get enough fruit and water :)
Eating a balanced diet, and consuming plenty of water, seems like a "given", doesn't it? Yet it's surprising how many people seem to ignore it.

I don't intentionally follow the "Food Pyramid" guidelines, or any other guidelines, for that matter. But of course I know that if I want a snack, I'm probably better off (in the long run, certainly) eating an apple or two, rather than a bag of Cheezy Poofs, or Twinkies, or whatever. I know that, everyone knows that. But we still eat the "junk".

I, for one, am concerend with my general health. I'm healthy, but I'm not getting any younger! So I make myself stop and think again when I'm reaching for the bag of pork rinds. Occasionally I will eat "bad" stuff, but I actively talk myself out of doing it frequently. One big slice of New York Cheesecake---not the low-fat recipe, the REAL stuff---isn't going to hurt me, if it's the only piece I eat this month.
I do it and, when I'm slacking, I always rely on Juice Plus capsules to back me up. (Veggies and fruits powdered into capsule form, which provides more than the RDA.)
The eight glasses thing is rather misleading. It doesn't account for the water present in food. If you are eating plenty of fruits and veggies, then you are actually getting those fluids, and their associated minerals/electrolytes/sugars, in a much more efficient package. The eight glasses thing is one of those accepted myths that isn't really based on anything. However, that isn't to say that water isn't good for you, and generally, more is better. That said, I live in Florida and enjoy my exercise outdoors, so I get a gallon or so of water a day, and my diet is 70 percent fruits and vegetables, by volume. It's very hot here, and I can't take the heavy foods+heat, during the eight months were the temperature and humidity are constantly over 80. So, to answer your question, yes, I do it, and I do it because it makes me feel good and feel healthy. I constantly mistrust the 'powers that be,' since they change their story with every new study. Pshaw! People have known how to eat right for thousands of years.
I have weetabix or branflakes, for breakfast. Sometimes, i mix fruit and veg, into a juicer. Like, apples, carrots, celery, oranges or tomotoes. I like veg, especially sprouts, i could eat, a plate full, of them.
I never used to, but I am definitely trying and starting to do it more now, and it's not that difficult once you start
