I absolutly love Shushi, I would eat it at least 3 times a week if I could of course one sitting with my husband and I at a Shushi bar runs about 60.00 so my question is how much is safe a week , or month etc, we eat it at least once a month right now but want to have it more than once can I?
Answer:
I eat it once a week.
Yes, you should be fine! The only time you should ever REALLY worry about mercury contents is if you are pregnant, and even then, once a month would be acceptable. Enjoy your sushi!

Yeah, but don't eat too much raw fish. I suggest once a week to prevent yourself from getting sick.
I love sushi also as of a few years ago I found out that the larger the fish the more mercury I used to eat only albacore tuna but now I use light chunk
It's a good excuse to try all the other sushi options (other fish, shellfish, eggs, veggies, etc), but it's not a concern unless you are pregnant
mercury isn't in high contents in all fish. some of the most high are in bass, swordfish, shark and trout. i would avoid those for weekly sushi cravings, but i think tuna is okay once every week, bc although high its not that high. and you wanna avoid too much raw fish in general just cus...well its raw.

Its not going to hurt ya. The only time you really need to worry about Hg poisoning is if the fish comes from a high Hg area. In the US fishing laws prohibit this from happening for fish sold in commercial stores and used for general consumption. Besides, the amount is so miniscule that ive gotton more Hg in me at one day of work dealing with broken Hg thermomoters and the like. Either way, it snothing to worry about, a few times a week is even fine, the biggest concern is that if alll your eating is fish and the lack of iron and the like in your diet.
