in my home language afrikaans, we call it a KORSIE!
Crust in England.
It is the heel.
Heel in English. In Spanish "culo" or butt - this used normally for a baguette. The crust is the bread's "envelope" so it cannot be a the end of the bread.
It's called the heel here in Michigan. I know it's called different things in different regions.

"Crust" would be any of the outside, not just the ends.

"Heel" is the term most commonly used.
