Oreida made them a just few years ago (early 2000's) and called them Hot Bites Tater Dogs. It's cocktail weenies filled with cheese all wrapped up in a crispy potato-type crust.

Tater dogs? Sounds tasty. I am imagining a hot dog rolled in potato chips and then deep fried. I'll take two. But you haven't lived unless you've eaten a beer battered footlong corndog, with a side of beer battered onion rings! They serve them at the Ohio State Fair, and most likely others.
