Answer:
I'd use red food colouring and cough mix.
or corn syrup and red food colouring? maybe add some strawberry jam for those gluggy bits?
I know for Halloween and stunts around here we mix ketchup and Vaseline together for some realistic effects
We always used corn syrup and red food coloring.
I am a semi professional movie extra... I have seen them mix up blood by using Karo Syrup and red dye... it looks pretty damn good and it's very sweet tasting... I'm not 100 percent sure they didn't add anything else... but that's just what I saw them using ... (used on the set of Die Hard 2 and xXx - State of the Union)
You can usually get real blood for free at a butcher or grocery store meat department. If you want a puddle of blood on the ground, this would work great. However if you're putting it on yourself I wouldn't use real blood.
Vanilla pudding and lots of red dye.
I agree with corn syrup or karo syrup and red food dye. That's the most common recipe I've seen. Wouldn't mind having that near my mouth, but I wouldn't be scoffing anything w vaseline.
