Answer:
Or you can replace all the oil with unflavoured yogurt. It tastes yummy, but not at all different.

The only thing to be really careful with, is to make sure that you cook the cake just long enough. You don't want to dry it out...generally as soon as it starts pulling away from the sides of the pan, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
If you want to cut down on fat try using same amount of apple sauce in stead of oil, you cant tell the difference. Apple sauce helps it stay moist.
With any cake mix, I have learned to mix it with a beater, rather than just by hand. It seems to make it lighter. I do this every time now and my family swears I'm adding something to it to make it so good.
And don't over bake it. Watch it toward the end of when the box says it should be done and check it as soon as you see that the top doesn't look wet anymore. Its done as soon as the toothpick dipped in the center comes out clean (not wet from batter). But don't open the oven till you can see through the window that it doesn't look wet, the oven loses alot of heat each time you open it and it will take longer and possibly dry the edges out.

Good luck!
