Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Candy bar from the 70's or 80's...?),it will help you,my kids.

I am trying to remember the name of a candy bar I used to eat when I was a kid. It was essentially a solid chocolate bar, thicker than a hershy bar but not as wide, and it had little 'holes' all throughout the inside...I think that the commercial made some reference to the holes saying it was lighter than air or something.

Anyway, curious to know if anyone can remember the name of it.

Answer:
Could be Chocolite. It was like a nestle crunch with holes instead of rice.
Charlston Chew.
Three Musketeers? It's still around...
It was not Charleston Chew. It may have been called a 'Watchamacallit', which was made by Hershey's. The other thing it may have been called was 'Choco-Lite', which also sounds like your description.
it's not twix is it? i know when i used to eat the chocolate and caramel off of the bar it had holes in it.
Was it an aero bar?

It was chocolate, but seemed to be almost "foamy" because of the holes on the inside.

You can often get them at Irish specialty shops still.
areo bar
flake bar
It sounds like a 3 Musketeers.
It was Choco Lite...those were sooooo good!
It is nestles crunch?
sounds like an Aero bar - which are readily available throughout Canada - in milk, dark, mint, caramel and orange chocolate flavours..

made by Nestles in Canada
Was it the Violet Crumble?
