Here's a great one from a great chef:

Southern Baked Beans Recipe
courtesy Paula Deen

1 large onion, diced
2 (16-ounce) cans pork and beans
3 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup light brown sugar
4 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 pound bacon strips, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a Dutch oven, mix onion, pork and beans, mustard, maple syrup, light brown sugar, ketchup, and lemon juice. Top with the bacon pieces. Bake, covered, for 45 to 60 minutes.
add BBQ sauce or some bacon pieces
you can really add any thing you like onion, garlic, etc.
Take the canned beans and add: mustard, catsup, and brown sugar. You can aslo cook some bacon and onion together and add to the mix. Then you can cook it on the stove top or bake it in the oven. If you like your beans sweet, be generous with the brown sugar. It doesn' matter if the brown sugar is light or dark.
salt, pepper, worchestershire sauce, and mustard.
Brown up a little bacon, saute some onion, and mix them in with the beans. Add about a tbs of black strap molasses, or brown sugar ( even better, real maple syrup!) put this concoction in the oven for a half an hour at 350 degrees. Yum.
little pieces of bacon, bell peppers, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, and mustard. Put it all in a pan and bake at 375 for twenty minutes...

measurements ....

a couple of tablespoons of the sugar, about one strip of bacon cut up, 1/4 of a bell pepper cut up, and a tablespoon of bbq, a squirt of mustard.
mustard, catsup, brown sugar, bacon, onions, molasses and/or maple syrup are all options depending on what you like and what that particular brand is missing
Add some onion and garlic powder and brown sugar and maybe a bit of barbecue sauce too. My mom used to do this for picnics and everyone thought she made them herself.
