On weekends we all sit at the table and enjoy a dinner for the family where we talk and catch up on everything that happenned during the week. During the week we r all home at different times so I will make the dinner and everyone just kinda eats when they r ready. I wish we had the time to ALWAYS eat at the table as a family but the world seems to be on fast forward and it leaves little time for this!

i have dinner alone every night cus i live alone. We have formal dinners 2-3 nights a week. It's hard to do every night with soccer practice, spinning classes, cub scout meetings etc.
When I was a kid, we used to do it every night. Me, my brother and mom and dad. No TV on, no radio, just conversation.

We try to eat dinner together every night. Being that everyones schedules are different, some times it is hard, but we do at least 5 nights out of the week. It is a great time for Family bonding. You should just eat when your whole family sits and because It is the right thing to do and it is also polite.

during the week my children and my foreign students sit down to a meal together, and 3 sundays out of 4 all of us eat together - there are occasions though when its impossible to get everyone together, due to other commitments, but i love seeing everyone at the table enjoying a good meal and chatting away :-) If I have guests, never I can eat with noise and I preffer to stay looking and listening to guests. But under silence, I like to eat meantime with my husband.
growing up we had dinner together on some Sundays. During the week my father did not get home till after 8 and we were in bed already. My mother would just say dinners ready and everyone come fix there plate. We would take it back to our rooms and then wash our dish later.
