Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Do you know what "Peeps" are?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Do you know what "Peeps" are?),it will help you,my kids.
I kept seeing that word on Youtunr.com recently, so decided to look it up. Apparently it's an American marshmallow candy that is popular at Easter. They're made by a fundamentalist Christian candy company.
Isn't that weird?
Answer:
Why is that weird? They are just marshmallows? Is the candy M &Ms weird? Snickers? Skittles?
What a strange question-and a waste of points to ask.
Hahahahahaha, that's funny. It also means "people" in slang talk......
they are disgusting little things, loaded with nasty food colors, artificial preservatives and chemicals. Just seeing them in the stores gives me an upset stomach. Marshmellow made from slaughtered animal parts (gelatine), covered with bright artificial colors-makes no sense to me at all. I hardly see whats Christian about giving kids toxic stuff, but thats interesting information. Thanks
the make them for most of the holidays in different flavors and shapes.........
who cares their delicious..................
Ugh, Peeps are the candy of Satan, if you ask me. They are disgusting! I definitely believe they are made by a Christian candy company. They probably make marshmallow crosses instead of devils for Halloween, too! I'll stick to my sickeningly sweet, yet delightful, Cadbury eggs.
I think that here on Yahoo!Answers, peeps are people .... as in "all the peeps" ...
Peeps are the best things, they are actually around all year long, just in different shapes and colors. Sure they are marshmallow and sugar and food coloring but darnit, they are wonderful.
Peeps are marshmallow chicks covered in a sort of candy powder. They are made by a christian company, but that isn't that weird. Even fundamentallist christians are beginning to actually celebrate easter. Most probobly wouldn't sell easter party products, but everyone needs to have some way to get by. They are not only for easter though.
They are the BEST and I'm Jewish
Jews for marshmallow quasi religious candy
Peeps are disgusting, sugary marshmallowy. Yuck!
Peeps are made from the Just Born company, which produces a few other popular american candies like "Mike and Ikes" as well as others, but peeps are probably the most popular. As far as ive been reading they are not affiliated with any religion. Some people dont like peeps, but a good amount, like myself, love them. They are very interesting in texture, softer and somehow spongier than regular marshmallows. They're coated in a fine granulated colored sugar. They shape into all sorts of things, most popular are chicks(baby chickens), but they also make bunnies eggs as well as otehrs. They've expanded to do other holidays too, halloween has some shapes including jack-o-lanterns, they have christmas with trees and such as well as other holidays i think
Peeps are delightful!!! Who cares about the religious beliefs of the manufacturer! It is the one candy that takes me back to my childhood! My granny would sepparate the little chicks and wrap each one in plastic wrap to put into our baskets, that way the "grass" did not stick to them. I can't eat one with out thinking of my granny!
No way, Peeps aren't weird--I grew up eating them! Sadly, while once they were available only at Easter time, now you can get them year round for all major holidays. They have Christmas tree shaped peeps, black cat and vampire bat shaped peeps, Independence day red white and blue peeps, etc. While they all taste the same, they're still better (to me, anyway!) at Easter time. The traditional Peeps are marshamallow chicks with yellow sugar on them. They now come in a range of colors from lavendar to bright blue to white, and also come shaped as bunnies. I'm sticking with my favorites though--yellow chicks. :)
Most people I know either love them or hate them. There is no in-between when it comes to Peeps.
its a colored marshmellow in different shapes(bunnies, chicks)covered in sugar.my mom actually just gave me some for easter (i hate them) but heres where you can go for some more information if you need it.
