Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(How can I make a cheese fondue without a fondue pot?),it will help you,my kids.

It is just for my husband and I, so I was thinking about buying one of those mini crockpots, will that work?

Answer:
A crockpot would work just fine.

You could also make a double boiler on your stovetop with a pot of simmering water and a bowl that will rest inside and make the fondue in that.
It should... it would be okay if you ended up just making a double boiler too. Just so the cheese would melt nicely and gradually. Have fun!
just put it in the microweel
Use a doubel boiler or two pts that fit together, fill the bottom with water and then melt the cheese into the top and this should create the heat you need without scorching the cheese
y cant!
Use a double boiler over simmering water. Why dish out the extra coin.
