The secret was that they'd killed the abusive jerk of a husband... HE was in the sauce.

Thats how they got rid of Frank. I took it as sarcasm or a flip answer to avoid the truth while LOL inside.
I think the "secret" was that the evil wifebeater was cooked up in the sauce! Great movie!
They disposed of the body by bbq'ing him. It is said that the human body tastes like pork.
