I have seen a movie (Old Boy) in which an octopus is eaten alive! What else is eaten alive?

Answers:
Oysters are the only things I can think of that are truly alive when you eat them. Sushi is raw, but most definitely dead. Lobsters are cooked from the live state, but most definitely dead when you eat them. And I don't think anyone counts the crazy stuff they eat on Fear Factor.

I've eaten live octopus, live shrimp, and live sea cucumbers. I passed on the urchins and something that looked like worms... Oysters and some fish can (I believe) also be eaten live.

oysters are still alive when you eat them.
i ate some live goldfish in college. so did another guy at the party. he threw up and the fish was still alive and flopping around in the grass. we picked it up and put in back in the fish tank. it was still alive 6 months later. i don't know what happened to it after that.

When I was growing up, a kid in my neighborhood would find small snails and eat them alive.

Apparently, squid, eel, and sea urchin are also eaten live or "very fresh" which means it died just seconds before it was eaten.

Oysters can be eaten live.
My boyfriend and his boss go to this sushi bar where they serve live crabs! They put them in sake first to get them drunk so they don't pinch the insides of their mouths!

It totally freaks the other people in the restaurant out!
